Riverdale High School
Kayla Brown as a 5’9 sophomore wing who has done amazing things for
Riverdale. She led the Lady Falcons
offensively with 13.2 points per game.
She shot 81.4% from the free throw line 57/70 and 113/194 (58.2%) from
the two-point field goal range and 16/39 three-point field goals at 41%. Defensively she averaged 4.6 steals per
game.
Kayla is one of the most competitive players I have
ever coached who works her tail off from the start of the game to the end. Not
only does she give it her all in games but she raises the level of play in
practice, by pushing others. Kayla has committed herself to wanting to play
basketball in college. She comes in before school at 7:00AM to shoot while
maintaining a stellar track season.
Kayla is a three-sport athlete who excels in all she
does. In track Kayla placed 5th in the 300IM hurdles at state her
freshman year. Kayla was chosen “Rookie of the year” as a freshman and Most
Valuable Player as a sophomore for the Lady Falcons Basketball Team. She is
also a 4.0 student in the classroom.
